Recent Work:

I joined the University of Liverpool in October 2007, after completing my PhD. at the University of Brighton. The title of my thesis was "Isomeric states in 121,123,125Sb. My work at the University of Liverpool is part of the EURONS/INTAG project studying nuclear tagging techniques. I am specifically looking at the application of digital electronics and pulse shape analysis techniques to silicon detectors.

Reports on the measurement of the g-factor of the first 2+ state in 40Ar by use of Coulomb excitation in inverse kinematics and the transient magnetic-field technique. The resulting g-factor is found to be in good agreement with the results of shell model calculations.
