The tape format consists of a 256 byte file header, with files separated by a single file mark. Data blocks are 32768 bytes. There is also a file mark output every 10000 data blocks. This is taken care of in the software.
The new disc format has 32768 byte data buffers with an additional 8 byte header which differentiates between header and data blocks.
The current handler supports a configuration file that defines the mapping between Oak Ridge parameter number and MTsort group/item numbers.
There is a default configuration file which may be modified by entering the "Config" option within the Input Handler window.
