The tape format consists of a 256 byte file header, with files separated by a single file mark. Data blocks are <= 32768 bytes. There is also a file mark output every 10000 data blocks. This is taken care of in the software.

The current handler supports FERA format data with the only event separator being VSN=0 data containing LeCroy4300B data.
