EXOGAM gamma-ray Spectrometer

EXOGAM - The EXOtic GAMma-ray spectrometer is a an array of 16 High Purity Germanium detectors designed to provide the maximum possible detection efficiency for experiments utilising radioactive ion beams.

The EXOGAM array is sited at the GANIL laboratory in Caen, France. The array is used to study nuclei far from stability populated in reactions which utilise primary beams delivered by the SPIRAL radioactive ion-beam facility.
